Meeka Trading Corp. has been around since 1987. I started this company after an extended backpacking journey around Southeast Asia. This trip brought me to Bali and I instantly fell in love with the people, culture, artistic talent and cottage industry I found there. Over the last 20 years I’ve worked as a manufacturing agent for other companies, owned retail stores, designed slippers, sandals, clothing, gifts, and imported furniture. |

Even though international trade has changed dramatically and it is tough to be competitive in the world market, I have remained true to the island I love. Bali is magical and the people there are now my family. I am fortunate to be able to continue designing and manufacturing goods utilizing the cottage industry system and implementing fair trade practice |
